Spotsie

Meet Spotsie,
Spotify without the weight

Spotsie is a native Spotify client. It looks like the Spotify you know, opens in a blink, and doesn’t bring a web browser along for the ride.

Free and open source · Linux, macOS and Windows · Playback needs Spotify Premium

Standing on good shoulders

Spotsie started from Spotifast by Carmine Paolino. Its sign-in, playback, Spotify Connect and storage are Spotifast’s proven backend; the interface is Spotsie’s own. Playback runs on librespot, the window on egui, and the lyrics come from Spotify and LRCLIB.

The music, artwork and metadata are Spotify’s, through your own Premium account. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB, and Spotsie is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Spotify.
